Turn your church/christian website into an effective tool for promoting your faith(2)
|
1)Establish what are the goals of your church website. The golas shoud be someting like:
-to convince non-christians that the church is made of ordinary people
-church members understand the problems non-christians may have
-show non-christians that the christian community is a familly like group that welcomes them without any conditions
-God will help them
|
|
2)Don't isolate your church web site. Instead, try to integrate it into your overall strategy of marketing your church events: print brochures and promote your church website, tell your people about the new website your church has, explain them that the church website is always up to date
3)Think that the church is actually made of people, the phisical building of the church is just a building, the spirit of God is inside all people that are part of the community! Show a picture or two of your christian community members instead of showing your church brick and stone building! Warm the place! It is all about people!
|
4)Don't forget to add photos of your church, but put these pictures in a presentation page, not on the front page!
5)Don't put too much information on the home page
6)Don't use a splash screen of any sort!It is not always a nice welcome for a new visitor, and it is surelly not a nice welcome for a returning visitor!
7)Don't use cheap animated graphics on your church website, it makes it look cheap and outdated |
