Should open source religious templates be complex or just plain and simple?

Open source templates! Listen to this: open source, ok? not premium, not paid work! What does it tell you? Open source religious site templates means that it is all about free distribution, under the open license, so a lot of people will have access to these layouts.
| Now, without being misinterpreted, if we speak about a lot of people, this means that there are a lot of people that are not that well prepared to handle complex layouts, it is a simple law of statistics!
Plus the fact that the main area of interest for people interested in these templates is religion, Christianity, not web development. So, it seems that a the answer comes by itself: let’s deliver simple layouts, not complex ones.

The only thing I would complain about is the fact that more complex religious web templates distributed by us here seem to be nicer, they have that feeling of care and attention to details.
I know that today web 2.0 is about the principle “less is more”, and as with any other designs, when it comes to religious web templates, it is the same thing: less is more. And actually nobody says that a “simple” layout can not be beautiful. Just that I am also trying to learn this, I am trying to teach myself that beauty sometimes can be found in simple things…
