One of the things that keep me busy these days is a sample baptist church website. It is a church website design downloaded from our site, adapted enough to look like a new design. What I intend to do is actually to show people that it can be done easily and with great results. I picked a baptist church website as an example, but the fact is that I could have picked any other church site.
| In the end, this baptist church website will not be a template, like the rest presented here, but a "live" site, HTML/CSS based, presented on our site as a subdomain, so people see it at work.
Visitors will be able to see the original church website design at the same time with the adapted site, so they could compare one to the other. Also, people will be able to download this baptist church web site as an "extra" template, with more than what you find at the other free templates on our site. |
The reason is that due to the fact that we work hard enough to adapt this church web site design, we considered it to be an advantage for the people downloading it, to show them how to do it.
Also, what we are trying to do is to convince people to not use our templates the way they are. Instead, we encourage people to adapt these templates to their own needs. Design is a custom job, it is not a standard one. Don't just take text and fill it in the free templates you have just downloaded.
Use your imagination and adapt the template, add your own images, change things, experiment with CSS. This is one of the most interesting things you could do:experiment with the CSS. What can go wrong? Just keep a copy of the CSS and then...go on! Nothing should stop you. Church website design is a custom job, remember? Experiment, change, adapt. Also remember to keep a link back to our site in the bottom of your site.
So, this baptist church website will be online soon. When exactly I don;t know, it depends on my available time. And then, soon, why not other baptist church websites for you to download.
